27" (69 cm.) An adult lady with paper mache head, brown glass eyes, elegantly sculpted features, brunette hair in upswept fashion, shapely paper mache torso and legs posed seating with ankles crossed, hinged breast plate, metal upper arms, paper mache lower arms, elegantly costumed in silks and velvets. Condition: paper mache repainted on face and hands, costume is appropriate albeit not original, key, lever, mechanism and music are original and function well. Comments: Vichy, circa 1890. Value Points: when wound, the lady saucily turns her head from side to side and nods, alternately lifting fan and hankie; meanwhile her eyelids blink open and closed, and her chest heaves up and down as though breathing; music plays throughout.
