21" (53 cm.) Solid domed bisque shoulder head with very pale nearly untinted bisque, head turned slightly to the right, brown glass inset eyes, dark painted eyeliner, painted lashes and brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with center accent line, pierced ears, brunette human hair in long braid, kid body with stitch-jointing, mitten style hands, antique costume. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 61. Comments: maker unknown, Germany, circa 1885. Value Points: rare markings, beautiful solemn expression enhanced by choice bisque.
