Description
16" (41 cm.) Bisque socket head, brown glass inset eyes, painted lashes, thick brush stroked and feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with outlined lips, auburn mohair wig over plaster pate, composition and wooden fully-jointed body with straight wrists, wearing antique velvet dress, mohair cap and fur stole, undergarments, leather ankle boots. Condition: generally excellent, body appropriate and of the same period albeit not Kestner. Marks: VII. Comments: Kestner, circa 1890. Value Points: very expressive features enhanced by fine quality of bisque and painting.
