21" (53 cm.) Porcelain shoulder head portraying adult lady with black sculpted hair waved away from face into wide wings at the side, with stippling detail around the forehead, and looped into an upswept curl at the back held by a sculpted comb, painted large blue eyes, well-defined red and black upper eyeliner, white eyedots, black brows, aquiline nose with accented nostrtils, closed mouth with center accent line, kid stitch-jointed body, porcelain lower arms, wearing antique costume, undergarments, leather shoes. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: S 8. Comments: attributed to Schlaggenwald, circa 1850. Value Points: rare model with superb sculpting of coiffure, very lovely facial expression.
