16" (41 cm.) Solid domed wax-over-paper mache baby with blue glass eyes, hinged jaw allowing the mouth to open to reveal painted teeth, blonde mohair wig, muslin and composition taufling style body with loosely-jointed swivel wrists and ankles, original costume. Condition: good, some typical wax scratches. Comments: Germany, circa 1870. Value Points: pull-string crier in torso allows doll to open and close mouth, and cry "mama".
