8" (20 cm.) Solid domed bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulder plate, blue glass enamel inset eyes, painted lashes and brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with accented lips,blonde mohair wig in original coiffure, original shapely muslin commercial body, bisque lower arms to just above the elbows with elbow bend, bisque lower legs with painted boots, wearing original well-fitted ivory satin gown with beading and paillettes, undergarments, necklace and bracelet. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Simon and Halbig, circa 1875. Value Points: rare early doll in wonderfully preserved original state, beautiful expression and bisque.
