32" (81 cm.) Bisque socket head, large blue glass sleep eyes, dark painted lashes, thick brush-stroked and fringed brows, accented eye corners and nostrils, open mouth with outlined lips, four porcelain teeth, pierced ears, brunette human hair, unusual body with shapely torso that extends only to below the waist and allows the doll to pivot sideways, split lower torso and thighs, jointed shoulders, elbows, wrists, and knees. Condition: generally excellent, some pair wear at lower torso. Marks: 252 dep 19. Comments: bisque head by Bahr Proschild, body is a registered model of Adolf Wizlizenus in 1896. Value Points: rare models of head and body, the doll was featured in Ciesliks German Doll Encyclopedia, page 338, with a description of the body shape and construction; included with the doll is a beautiful antique dress.
