Description

20" (51 cm.) Bisque socket head, brown glass sleep and side-glancing "flirty" eyes, painted curly lashes, short feathered brows, accented nostrils, open mouth, shaded and outlined lips, four porcelain teeth, brunette mohair wig in short bobbed fashion, composition and wooden ball-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Made in Germany F 10 1/2 JDK 247. Comments: Kestner, circa 1914, the model known as Hildas older sister for its resemblance to that toddler character. Value Points: rare model has superlative bisque, sculpting and complexion, well-functioning flirty eyes, original body and body finish, wearing antique sailor costume, straw hat, original shoes, and carrying little brown teddy bear.
