25" (64 cm.) Sculpted composition head with highly defined facial features and characteristic Kaulitz complexion texturing, portrays an older girl with oval face and elongated throat, deeply set eye sockets with defined lids, painted brown eyes, brush-stroked brows, pointy nose tip, closed mouth with well-defined lips, strong cheek and chin bones, brunette hand-tied human hair wig, composition and wooden ball-jointed body, antique cotton flowered blouse and skirt, undergarments, leggings, leatherette shoes, cap. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: MIII (head) Comments: attributed to the Munich Art Doll studio of Marion Kaulitz, circa 1907, whose dolls are designated as the original models for the art reform doll movement of that decade. Value Points: an exceptional model, both in its larger size and exceptional characterization, is beautifully preserved, and likely one-of-a-kind.
