Description
18" (46 cm.) Wooden toy carousel features lithographed paper covered base and center pedestal, gold painted poles, red and cream fabric tent cover with gilt edging, mirrored decorations, and five flocked paper mache or wooden horses that are arranged around, each with leather harness, saddle, horsehair mane and tail. When wound at the side, music plays and the horses revolve. Brass label at the side "Ant. C. Niess Wien...". Excellent condition. Vienna, circa 1925.
