5" (13 cm.) bisque head container. A wooden crate with paper lithographed colorful cover celebrating festive holidays advertises the chocolate factory of F.G. Metzger of Nurnberg. Stored inside are a variety of candy containers with devilish themes, viz. bisque head with black fur hair on paper covered candy box, black fur-covered bear-like figure holding candy container cylinder, horned devil sitting on a wooden barrel in which is hiding another figure, plaster Devil head with hollowed head for candy storage, along with laughing jester devil head on wooden party stick and a hanging ornament with devilish face. Also included is a flannel covered candy box with paper mache St. Nicholas head, and some paper die-cuts with holiday themes. Good to very good condition. Circa 1910/1935.
