Description
8" (20 cm.) l. All carved wood with dark brown and cream shaded finish, the donkey is posed resting upon its folded or extended legs, head turned to the side, with defined mane, upright ears, closed mouth, and with enamel inset eyes. Excellent condition. Neapolitan, mid-1700s, attributed to the workshops of the Vassallo Brothers.
