13" (33 cm.) Polychromed terra cotta shoulderhead glancing to the side, sculpted brown fitted cap with folded brim, black sculpted beard, enamel eyes, slightly-parted lips, teeth, tow-wrapped armature body, carved wooden lower arms and legs, wearing original homespun costume including woolen jacket, laced vest, pants, laced foot covers, long cape and kidskin shoulder bag. Excellent condition. Neapolitan, mid-1700s, rare modeled cap and unusually fine detail of facial modeling and painting.
