19" (50 cm.) Bisque socket head, blue glass sleep eyes, painted lashes, short brushstroked brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with wistful expression, brunette mohair wig, composition and wooden ball-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: K*R Simon & Halbig 117 50. Comments: Kammer and Reinhardt, circa 1914, a transition model between the firm's classic dolly-face model and their art character models, the doll was marketed as "Mein Liebling". Value Points: the wistful faced child is wearing antique folklore costume comprising green velvet skirt and vest with braid and ribbon trim, undergarments, stockings, pom-pom trimmed shoes.
