6" (15 cm.) Bisque figural jar with removable head for access to the hollow interior portrays a highly characterized crying boy with modeled jester cap and fancy jester costume including ruffled collar and bretelles, and bisque bells and star decoration. Germany, attributed to Hertwig, circa 1910. The rare figure is notable for highly characterized facial features.
