24" (61 cm.) Bisque socket head, brilliant blue glass sleep eyes according to distinctive Jumeau patent, lushly painted dark lashes and brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, open mouth, shaded and accented lips, row of porcelain teeth, pierced ears, brunette human hair wig over cork pate, French composition and wooden fully-jointed body, nicely costumed. Condition: generally excellent, original small firing line at corner of right eye. Marks: 11 (head) Bebe Jumeau Diplome d'Honneur (body). Comments: Bebe Jumeau, circa 1895. Value Points: beautiful bebe with rich eye color, original mohair lashes, rare sleeping eye mechanism, original body, signed Jumeau shoes.
