4.5" (11 cm.) Comprising the original envelope and book with cover labeled "History of Little Fanny exemplified in a series of figures, Fifth Edition, S and J Fuller at the Temple of Fancy, Rathbone Place, 1810", and the book having seven little stories about Fanny that match the doll and the six additional costumes that she owns. Paper doll, costumes and book excellent. Envelope a bit ragged. English, circa 1810, a very rare paper doll intended as a life lesson; in No. 1 story "play's her passion, idleness her joy" and by story end "she's returned to what she ought to be...pious, modest, diligent and mild."
