Polychromed terra cotta shoulderhead, sculpted brown hair drawn firmly away from face and captured in a topknot at her crown, sculpted curls in front of each ear and at nape, very plump face and double chin, enamel eyes, closed mouth with smiling expression, teeth, modeled bosom, tow-wrapped posable armature body, carved wooden lower arms and legs, painted blue stockings and red shoes, Very good condition, costume a bit frail, painted finish faded. Neapolitan, mid-1700s, wonderful and distinctive expression.
