19" (48 cm.) Bisque socket head with very full facial shape, large brown glass paperweight eyes, dark eyeliner, dark painted lashes, incised eyeliner, thick brush-stroked brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, open mouth, accented lips, four porcelain teeth, brunette human hair, composition and wooden ball-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: S 12 H 739 dep (head) Germany (body) Made for G.A. Schwarz Philadelphia (paper label on body). Comments: Simon and Halbig, circa 1890. Value Points: beautiful doll with finest quality of bisque, rare model, original body finish, lovely antique cashmere wol dress with blue embroidery and ribbons.
