17" (43 cm.) Each has paper mache head depicting a cat with painted facial features and sculpted ears, on paper mache human-body with sculped and painted colorful costumes, jointed arms, hinged "walking" legs with sculpted over-sized boots. Condition: original finish and painting throughout with typical rubs. Comments: "Puss in Boots" , by Cesar, a manufacturer of carton toys and masks, circa 1900. Value Points: amusing French story book figures with vivid and imaginative decorations.
