31" (79 cm.) Paper mache socket head with portrait like expression, blue glass enamel inset eyes, dark eye liner, feathered brows, accented eye corners, closed mouth, applied mohair wig, five piece paper mache body. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: maker unknown, French, circa 1890. Value Points: rare mystery doll with strong presence, original finish, wearing what appears to be his original military costume, painted boots and lambswool fur cap.
