21" (53 cm.) Bisque socket head, brown glass sleep eyes, painted short curly lashes, thick dark eye liner, brush-stroked tapered brows with feathered detail, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with outlined lips, brunette mohair wig over plaster pate, early composition and wooden body with loose ball-joints at shoulders and thighs, straight wrists. Condition: generally excellent, old retouch on hands. Marks: 14. Comments: Kestner, circa 1885. Value Points: beautiful child doll with closed mouth, lovely antique brown silk best dress, bonnet, brown knit stockings, leather shoes, undergarments, miniature basket.
