26" (66 cm.) Bisque socket head with elongated facial shape, full cheeks, blue glass sleep eyes, dark eye-liner, painted lashes, brush-stroked brows with decorative glaze, accented nostrils and eye corners, open mouth, shaded and accented lips, four porcelain teeth, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig, early composition and wooden eight-loose-ball jointed plump body, straight wrists. Condition: generally excellent, few wig pulls. Marks: S 15 H 939. Comments: Simon and Halbig, circa 1890. Value Points: beautiful wide-eyed child with very choice bisque, original early body and body finish, gorgeous early white pique dress with embroidery and cutwork, undergarments, leather boots, lace cap.
