Description
19" (49 cm.) Bisque socket head, painted shaded blue eyes slightly turned to the side, heavy eyelids with thick black upper eyeliner, one-stroke tapered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with very full outlined lips, deeply impressed modeling around the mouth and eyes, composition and wooden ball-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent, few typical wig pulls at back of head. Marks: K*R 101 49. Comments: Kammer and Reinhardt, "Marie" from the firm's art character series, circa 1910. Value Points: especially fine modeling with well-defined features, original body and body finish, wearing antique Scottish velvet and (frail) silk costume.
