11" (28 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulder plate, blue glass enamel inset eyes, painted lashes and brows, closed mouth, original brunette mohair wig over cork pate, original muslin poupee body with shapely waist, kid arms with separated fingers. Condition: generally excellent, presentation box a bit worn. Marks: F.G. 3/0. Comments: Gaultier Freres, circa 1885. Value Points: perfectly preserved in original condition, the bride wears richly ornamented ivory satin gown, undergarments, and veil. She is posed inside an original presentation box along with a lavish wedding bouquet for a "real" bride, and a decorative illustration on the lid.
