16" (41 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulder plate with well-defined modeled bosom, large grey glass paperweight inset eyes, painted lashes, feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth, outlined lips, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, uniquely modeled deposed body with firmly-stuffed body midriff, lower torso and upper arms and legs constructed to accommodate bisque components, modeled heeled bisque shoes with original holes in feet for positioning on stand, antique black velvet day dress and lace cap. Condition:  excellent throughout excepting restoration to left arm and hairline on left leg. Marks: 3 (head). Comments: Radiguet & Cordonnier, based upon their "poupee-statuette" depose of 1880, designed to create a miniature fashion doll that could aptly wear adult or theatrical fashion. Value Points: an historically important and very poupee with uniquely designed body, beautiful face.
