Description
11" (28 cm.) One piece all-bisque figure of adult lady standing against a stone parapet at the seaside, waves lapping at her feet, having sculpted brown hair beneath a white ruffled bonnet, painted facial features with side-glancing eyes, sculpted costume of mauve and green with gilded highlights, and having bare feet that tentatively touch the waves, while her shoes and stockings are held in her hand. A painted gold anchor at her bodice enhances the seaside theme. Heubach sunburst mark at the back. Excellent condition. Circa 1900.
