Description
8 1/2" (22 cm.) h. Bridegroom. Each is all-bisque with loop-jointed arms, blonde sculpted hair with topknot and forelock curl, painted side-glancing googly eyes, dot brows, closed mouth with impish smile. Condition: generally excellent, one bridesmaid has chip on fingers. Marks: O'Neill (incised on feet). Comments: Germany, circa 1910, from original designs by Rose O'Neill. Value Points: wonderful ensemble of six Kewpies designed as a Wedding Party, including Bride, Groom, Preacher, two Bridesmaids and a flower girl, each with original crepe paper costume.
