Description
10" (25 cm.) Solid domed paper mache head with bald pate, delicately painted curls above the ears, black enamel eyes, closed mouth, blushed cheeks, paper mache and wooden body parts separated by cotton cambric covered midriff and upper limbs, "mama" bellows crier in midriff. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Germany, circa 1860. Value Points: a beautiful taufling baby with functioning mama crier, antique gown and chemise.
