9" (23 cm.) Wooden corner cabinet ("encoignure") has bombe-shaped front doors above an arched base, marble top with beveled edging, bronze hardware and mounts including working key, and a beautifully rendered Watteau-style castle and moat scene on ochre background. Excellent condition. Mid-20th century maitrise model, perfectly sized for display with poupees, in the Louis XV style.
