Description

18" (46 cm.) Bisque socket head with brown complexion, brown glass inset eyes, black painted lashes and eye liner, black thickly brush-stroked and feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, open mouth, four porcelain teeth, pierced ears, black fleecy mohair wig, brown composition and wooden fully-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent, left hand is aptly restored. Marks: S 10 H 739 dep. Comments: Simon and Halbig, circa 1895. Value Points: rare model with beautiful complexion, original body with unusual groove construction of thighs, wonderful antique linen dress, blouse, undergarments, stockings, shoes, straw bonnet.
