Description
4.5" (11 cm.) Henry paper doll. The rare early English paper doll includes envelope and book labeled "The History and Adventures of Little Henry exemplifed in a series of figures" published by S. & J. Fuller, along with the paper doll of Henry and six additional costumes that depict his various adventures told in the book, from the time he is "careless left by his nursery-maid, stolen away by a gipsey [sic]" until "at last dame Fortune smile" and he is returned to his loving parents. Costumes are in very fine condition. Envelope and book a bit tattered, head redrawn early. A very rare early paper doll complete and intact.
