Pressed bisque socket head with elongated oval face and deeply sculpted facial features, brown glass enamel inset eyes in hand-cut eye sockets, painted lashes, lightly feathered brows, mauve blushed rich eye shadow, accented eye corners, shaded nostrils, closed mouth, defined space between the shaded and outlined lips, separately modeled pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, early Jumeau composition and wooden eight-loose-ball-jointed body with straight wrists and plump limbs. Condition: generally excellent, faintest 1 1/2" hairline at front crown rim that is likely original. Marks: 4 (head). Comments: Emile Jumeau, circa 1878.
