25" (64 cm.) Bisque socket head, brown glass sleep eyes, painted lashes, slightly modeled brush-stroked and feathered brows with decorative glaze, accented nostrils, closed mouth with outlined lips, brunette mohair wig over plaster pate, composition and wooden fully-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: K 1/2 made in Germany 169 14 1/2. (head) Germany (torso). Comments: Kestner, circa 1890. Value Points: especially lovely bisque and and painting of the closed mouth child, original body and body finish, wig, lovely antique costume.
