Description
6" (15 cm.) l. A firm-sided necessaire with elegant bombe shaping is decorated with bands of soft tan kidskin and rich burgundy velvet, an oval kidskin medallion on the lid, with original clasp and double handles. The interior is lined with coral sateen and contains two early implements (scissors and bone knife). The necessaire is contained in its original store box with old script lettering "Mlle Agnes Germaine no.5". Near mint condition of the luxurious early doll accessory. French, circa 1860.
