15" (38 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate, blue glass enamel inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth, center accent line, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, French kid poupee body with square cut collarette, wooden arms with dowel articulation at shoulders, elbows, and wrists, antique costume. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: D (head and shoulders). Comments: Leon Casimir Bru, his deposed "smiling" model of 1872. Value Points: fine quality of bisque smiling expression, original body with wooden arms.
