22" (56 cm.) Bisque socket head with elongated facial shape, full cheeks, blue glass sleep eyes, painted lashes, brush stroked and feathered brows, accented eye corners and nostrils of upturned nose, open mouth, outlined lips, two square cut upper teeth, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig, early composition and wooden fully-jointed body, straight wrists, nicely costumed in antique dress, undergarments. Condition: generally excellent, some body repaint. Marks: S 14 H 949. Comments: Simon and Halbig, circa 1890. Value Points: early model with fine lustrous patina, deeply sculpted features.
