21" (53 cm.) Miniature wooden cabinetmaker's model of secretaire featuring paneled cupboard top with fancy pediment, slant-front desk with very ornate niche interior and leather-top writing surface, three long drawers, two pencil drawers, pull-out desk supports; with overall painted verdigris finish with moss green borders and gilt pencil striping centering rich Watteau style designs including cavalier and lady on the paneled doors and bucolic country scenes at the sides, along with delicate garlands of flowers, and having miniature cast brass pulls and keys. Excellent condition. Mid-20th century cabinet-maker's model of the 18th century style.
