Description
10" (25 cm.) standing Kewpie. Each of three figures is all-bisque Kewpie with typical topknot, side curls, side-glancing googly eyes, thick upper lashes, impish one-line smile, and blue wings. Included is large standing Kewpie with jointed arms; 5" standing Kewpie with jointed arms and painted shoes and socks; and 4.5" Kewpie Thinker. Condition; generally excellent. Marks: O'Neill (feet) Kewpie O'Neill Germany (backside of Thinker). Comments: Germany, circa 1915, designed by Rose O'Neill. Value Points: three rare models, the large Kewpie is seldom found.
