Description
30" (76 cm.) overall l. 11" shoulder width, 13" marotte. An extravagantly detailed luxurious party costume comprises pleated silk full dress and sleeves lavishly overlaid with wide silk ribbon streamers in shades of rose and aqua, each with gold miniature bell at the tip, and bordered with black velvet neckline and cuffs also decorated with brass bells. With original silk matching crown, fully lined, edged with gilt metallic corder and brass bells, and with a superb party marotte having glass-eyed celluloid head, maple handle, and original party costume in blue and rose with lace and silver metallic tinsel trim. An outstanding French party ensemble, in superb condition, circa 1910.
