17" (43 cm.) Pressed felt swivel head with highly characterized features of smiling man, brown painted eyes, strong nose, beaming smile on dot-accented lips, light brownish/grey mohair hair and beard, jointed arms and legs. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: R.John Wright (foot) MacTavish (name on original attached booklet). Comments: R. John Wright, from his early series of character dolls, MacTavish was produced for two years only, 1979-1981. Value Points: important early model by the celebrated American cloth doll artist, wearing original light brown felt shirt, corduroy trousers, green felt beret, wool scarf, leather shoes and carrying apple wood walking stick.
