Description
7" (18 cm.) All wooden doll has painted black hair with detailed ringlets of curls onto the sides of face, sculpted yellow hair comb, painted facial features, all-wooden fully articulated body with painted orange shoes, wearing (frail) original costume. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Grodnertal, circa 1850. Value Points: fine original finish of the diminutive all-articulated doll, being sold from the private estate collection of Madeline Merrill, the late noted doll researcher and author of The Art of Dolls, 1700-1940.
