Description
4.5" (11 cm.) Tinplate clock with silver finish over richly embossed designs featuring side columns and cherubic figural face has faux paper clock face, swinging pendulum and a figural gnome atop holding a hammer with which he strikes the gong on each hour. The minute and hour hand turn simultaneously, and the pendulum swings when keywound at back. Included is an early fruitwood table with slate top. Very good condition, the movement is sporadic. Probably French, circa 1890.
