12" (30 cm.) Solid domed carved wooden head and upper torso with well-defined bosom,paint-over-gesso complexion and hair with well detailed curls around the face,painted facial features,blushed cheeks,early soft kid body with slender one-piece limbs,sewn-on green flat shoes,separately stitched thumbs. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: French,circa 1810,the doll has beautifully preserved original finish with gleaming patina,original body,and wears her (frail) original silk dress with metallic embroidery and matching cap.
