Description
7" (18 cm.) The cast iron bank depicts a bull dog seated on a chest, a purple blanket at his seat and a thick cast iron studded "leather" collar around his neck. His tail acts as a lever for opening his mouth, tucking his head into his collar, and then "swallowing" the coin. Marked "Bull Dog Bank". Fair/good condition, tail tip and eyes missing, springs are very sluggish. J&E Stevens, circa 1890.
