8" square. A wooden box with slide lid having a tip-varnished engraving portraying a mother and father showing the game to their new daughters, bordered by figures and symbols from the game, contains within 42 geometric-shaped heavy card-paper engravings of body and head parts of various animals and people, allowing the image to change whenever a piece is substituted. Three language titles on the lid. Box image a bit worn, contents excellent and complete. Circa 1850.
