11" (28 cm.) Hand-pressed porcelain shoulder head with slightly pink tinted complexion, short brown painted hair with tousled curl onto the forehead, fully sculpted ears, painted facial features, tiny blue eyes, hint of smile, muslin body, porcelain arms to above the elbows, porcelain legs to above the knees, bare feet, wearing original blue and white cotton dress with multi-layered undergarments. Condition: generally excellent, small paint rub at back of hair. Marks: lll (inside shoulder plate). Comments: Royal Copenhagen Porcelain, circa 1845, the doll, known in the Museum as Johannes Loffler in homage to the original owner, has been featured in a number of exhibits and an article in Cieslik's Puppenmagasin.
