9" (23 cm.) A wooden box with decorative stamped paper covers in a variety of pleasing designs is designed with balancing table on top of which is posed a figure representing a Chinese acrobat with paper mache head, wood limbs, cloth costume. When the box is placed in various poses, the acrobat appears to be performing various acrobatic and balancing acts. Condition: very good with original papers and decorations well preserved. Comments: French, circa 1840.
