A heavy card-paper box has a richly decorated lid with tip-varnished engraving portraying a woman playing the game with her three children, along with the title in four languages, "Arithmetical Lottery, New instructive game on problems on the multiplication table, useful amusement for childhood and youth" with internal metamorphoses cards having superb varnish-tipped engravings. Published by Verlag Figenthum. Excellent condition, complete, some darkening of cover. Circa 1850.
