Description
7" x 5". A wooden box with slide lid has paper-covered slide lid portraying five of the scenes that could be arranged with the 16 different paper-covered wooden blocks inside. By various placement of the blocks historical or amusing vignettes could be produced in an endless succession. The title, Metamorphoses, appears in 3 languages on the cover. Lid repaired on back side, otherwise excellent and complete. Circa 1850.
